Welcome to the Greenlane Stud website! We are a small private stud specialising in the breeding and producing of dressage and show jumping horses. We started in 2005 so only have a few horses available for sale at present - but they are all exciting prospects in their spheres and details can be seen by clicking this link. We are very excited about them and they will be seen out on the competition circuit later in 2011 - so keep a look out for them!
I have some great people helping now following Kathy's sad death; Sara-Jane Lanning and Martin Mullins are riding and producing the horses for me and I have a small team working to keep the horses fed and watered - and mucked out and poo picked of course: Lucy Sandford; Clare Griffin and Jo. This allows me ot continue to work full time so I can pour all the earnings into keeping the project going until the horses are ready to be sold.
I have updated some of the pictures too - especially the maturer horses - but I really don't know where the time has gone this year! Will try to get some of the youngsters before they get too hairy!
We managed to get only 2 mares in foal for 2012 which was disappointing but as I will be managing the foalings alone this year maybe it's a good thing! But those we did get in foal are very exciting - our super Thoroughbred mare Danzig Star is in foal to the up and coming jumping stallion Warrant (Numero Uno x Nimmerdor) and Roltaire (Calvados x Voltaire) is in foal to the sire of the top KWPN foal 2010, Zambesi (Heartbreaker x Calvaro Z). So fingers crossed for some more great youngsters in 2012.
